-- The Team --

Meet the Team!

We are a small but very dedicated and friendly team. The core of the team comprises Chris, Adrian, Paul, Duncan, Duncan (referred to as "Doug" to save confusion!!) and Kevin. We also call on Mike and Eggy for some events too - all the help we can get is always gratefully received!

Chris Dillow: Driver.

Chris got the motorsport bug from his father and purchased his first rally car, a Mini Cooper S, in 1989. Chris started to compete in sprints and hillclimbs but soon transferred to rallying, which offered greater mileage per event. Over the years, Chris moved from the Mini to a 2-litre Nova GTE, then to the same Nova but with a 1600cc "kit spec" engine and now to the Metro 6R4.

Chris works as a cabinet maker and primarily installs fitted kitchens and bedroom furniture. He can often be found on his knees too - installing laminate flooring!

Adrian Tregunna: Navigator.

Adrian started rallying with Chris in 1992. The lads have been through thick-and-thin together, learnt loads and have shared a great many fabulous results over the years. The highest point was winning our class on the 2002 Tour of Cornwall and the lowest point was probably retiring with a broken gearbox casing while running 2nd overall on the City of Truro.

With a new car for 2004, it had felt like going back to school – everyone was watching us and expecting great things. There was a lot to learn and it was interesting to see how quickly we were able to get onto the pace with this awesome car. Now our first season is out of the way, we can look forward to what should be a fantastic season.

Adrian works for BT Global Services and designs corporate satellite networks. He also carries out all the publicity functions for the team, maintains this website and provides all the team press releases.

Paul Dillow: Team Manager and Chef!

After a great many years of very successful motorsport, Paul thought he had got away from late nights in the workshop and spending all his life covered in oil! Nope – now he gets all the work and late nights and doesn’t get the time in the car! Paul runs all the technical side of the team and also arranges the purchase of the replacements parts etc.

Paul is an amazing chef and we are very lucky that he enjoys playing the father figure to us all and feeds us extremely well. We travel in style and eat really well – you will find a typical menu elsewhere on this site. The sight of all the team sat around a table eating steak and salad always amazes other competitors, especially when they are standing in the rain eating a soggy sandwich or burger!!

Duncan Langford: Service Crew and standby Navigator.

Over a number of years, Duncan has serviced for a number of different rally crews and we were very lucky to have him join us. Duncan’s dedication and commitment is amazing and he now lives alongside the rally workshop so can often be found in the workshop.

The youngest member of the team, Duncan’s first love is the Metro 6R4 and now we are rallying one, he is in his element! Duncan’s second love is his Mini (an original one, not one of "those nasty imitations") and this car is always immaculately presented. Duncan’s dedicated approach to a clean Mini also means we have a very clean rally car and Duncan should be sponsored by Autoglym!!

When Adrian had a throat infection some years ago, Duncan bravely volunteered to navigate for the day. After a crash course (no pun intended) in navigation, Duncan braved a very wet City of Truro Rally and won the class on his first outing. He has since stood-in for Adrian on the 2001 Azimghur Stages and won the class then too.

Duncan "Doug" MacLennan: Service Crew and Sponsor.

Duncan is one of our main sponsors and also enjoys working with the team. When work permits, Duncan travels with the team, rolls his sleeves up and gets involved with running the car.

Kevin Greensmith: Service Crew.

Kevin works in an AA Service Centre as a mechanic. Kevin is an experienced rally driver and has competed as a driver in a Mark 2 Ford Escort. Kevin has been a great addition to our team – especially as he doesn’t mind being covered in anti-freeze! He can usually be found lurking with a container of brake cleaner close to hand!
